The role: This is a front line position, as you will be engaging, by phone, with business owners and senior managers of small companies with whom we are interested in working. You will develop a trusting relationship with them so they will be happy to disclose information about their company’s performance and discuss areas where they want to change You will then analyse the facts and diagnose areas where their business performance could be improved, for example by developing their employee's knowledge, skills, aptitude, and attitude. You then determine whether or not we can assist them, match the need to a funded support programme, and then arrange for one of our field staff to visit to arrange the details of the service we will be providing them with and which will help them to achieve their business aims.
Skills and characteristics required: · A spirit of enquiry with a genuine interest in people · Extremely fluent and mentally agile, with the ability to think on your feet · A first class communicator able to build relationships · The ability to gain respect and trust · Active listening & reasoning skills · A quick and clear thinker · Determined, persistent and influential · Investigative and analytical · Able to close the deal · IT literate – MS Office, and knowledge of databases an advantage · A excellent record keeper with an eye for detail · Enjoy learning and absorbing knowledge
The successful candidate will have confidence and professionalism, be a self starter, have first class communication and organisation skills, and be able to prioritise and manage a demanding workload. You can liaise with people on all levels and will be really keen about getting fully involved in this role. This is an exciting opening in a lively environment.
